Hi, could I get some opinions on this? I've been told it looks really good

I am pretty much ready to pull the trigger and order the parts. It all fits with my budget, and should run games at 60 fps.
I just want some second opinions, that is all.

Looks ok but i would go for a 650w psu and spend the very little extra and go to an r9 280x. When i did my build i tried a 280 and it wasnt enough so i returned it and jumped to the r9 280x at the recomendation of new egg and i am extremely happy. Im getting 100fps on ultra in most games.

The only difference in my build and yours is i have a 650w psu, r9 280x gpu and i went with the fatal1ty 990fx killer mother board.

So to sum up if you can it would be well worth your money to bump up the power supply slightly and jump the gpu up to the 280x just my thoughts.

Your current set up will work but aome modern games wont run at 60fps unless you drop to medium settings

Seems legit :)  and yes you should run enough games at 60 fps.

take a peek here. http://thepcenthusiast.com/asus-radeon-r9-280x-directcu...

It all depends on the game. cpu intensive games like mmo's rts's(games that are limited by your cpu) would get a huge fps increase,
So as writen above, you should be able to run enough games at 60 fps.

Good luck, configuring a good gaming rig.

My budget is 1000 dollars. I don't think I could afford a more expensive card and psu

I agree with Jason. The small bump in price from the 280 to the 280x is well worth the extra 50 bucks. And going up to the 280x put you at 475w. so I bumper you up to a 600w PSU. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mrNrYJ

The card might be 270 dollars in NCIX, but those guys have extremely expensive shipping, so it would end up being like 310 dollars.

Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bJQzK8/by_merchant/
Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $49.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

avoid the cx series they have a high failing rate as they are low quality.

Do you have/ need an optic drive and OS already?

I won't be needing the drive since I'll be installing from USB, and I am not paying for the OS.
I am sorry if it goes against the views of some people here, but it either was buying cheaper parts, or buying an OS+optic drive.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gT6CFT Here is a good build for your needs. Good overclock ability, SSD speed, and capable graphics. There is wiggle room for you to move some of the items to your preferred merchant.
Feel free to swap the 280x for the 760 if you prefer one over the other. Performance is about the same. Depends on the game.
