Hey there,

My display drivers have crashed somewhat frequently (maybe once every other day) ever since I built this computer. I tried my best to fix the issue, checked temps, followed guides, etc, but nothing's worked. Eventually I gave up and just ignored the crashes whenever they came up. I'm starting to get fed-up with it again, though, and have been looking into fixing it. One thing I saw was that display driver crashing can be caused by RAM not being run at the timings, and speed it's graded for. So I decided to change the settings in my bios to the best of my abilities (set the timing to 9-9-9-24, speed to 1600mhz), but here are my results according to CPU-Z:

I'm using this ram http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CRSM4I/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And this mobo: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00539LU3E/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Any idea why it would be displaying such a different timing?

Something else is off, your timings are no where near the base timings for those sticks, either CPU-Z is reading wrong or something else is screwy. I've got 169.2 on a few rigs and they all read right...do you have the latest BIOS?

No idea, but now the timings are correct. I will update my BIOS, though, as it has been a while. (Sorry, should have clarified that my changing where the sticks were seated made the manual settings work)
