PC won't boot properly

Hi,

Ever since I installed my new SSD, I've been getting quite a number of issues. I think its partly my fault for improper installation.

When I was installing a new copy of Windows 7 on my SSD, I suspect that I had installed another incomplete Windows 7 on it.
Whenever I boot from my SSD, it says that I don't have a boot drive or something, then when I restart my PC, enter BIOS to select boot device ( was the same during first boot ), which is my SSD, I have an option of 2 Windows 7 to boot from. The first one is the correct one with all my stuff. And the second one is the ' corrupted ' incomplete one. I tried using my installation disk to fix the problem by selecting ' repair my computer ' , it doesn't seem to detect the incomplete OS.

I'm not sure if that ' corrupted OS is even in my SSD. If it is, I'd like to know where I can delete it, or how I can boot quickly without having to select boot device.

Install a SSD they said...

It's supposed to make things load faster. Well its doing the opposite.

So please help !

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks

Boot to the good/correct one that has all your stuff.
Start > Run > type msconfig
Click Boot tab (how many entry you have) and delete the unwanted one. Make sure you know which one to delete.

remove all other hard drives before installation.. leave only the ssd on sata 0

enter bios, load optimal defaults then

choose ACHI mode on drive configuration,.. then save and exit..

try with the windows installation again.
