Power Button wont work

My power button wont turn my computer on, the only way i can keep it on is by manually pushing in a button on my power supply and as soon as i let it go, it turns off. The power button will turn my pc off but i cant get it to turn on. Any way i can fix this?

hit up radioshack for some parts to make a new switch

If you just assembled your pc, then you didn't plug in the power pins properly. If you didn't, then your power button on your case died.

What power button on your PSU? Normally, PSUs have an ON/OFF switch not a power button and that is independent of the start button on the computer.

Its not the case as i have tried my old case as well, and on my psu there is no on/off switch, instead there is a black button that will start the pc, the only problem is that it must be constantly pushed in or else the pc turns off.
