GTX 880 vs 780 Ti ( worth the wait?)

how much more powerful will the 880 be compared to the 780 Ti and what new specs/features will it bring?. also will it be lower price (as the rumors suggest compared to 780 and Ti version)?

From what rumors say no.

From what I've heard, the 800 series is targeted at power efficiency over raw power. Sure there will most likely be like a 5-10% performance increase, but that is it.

Keep in mind, there are just RUMORS not FACTS.

theres no concrete benchmarks yet. the question is do u need the gpu today or later.

Hello,

In the direction the industry is moving right now, with customers happily paying over 300 USD for mainstream (GTX760, R9-280), it is highly unlikely to have a price cut not even for the 7xx generation... Maybe the newer cards will be much powerful at the same price points, but I have my doubts given the rebadging history on both NVidia and AMD.

About 20% more performance than the GTX 780 Ti, BUT its only the GM204 part. The big Maxwell GM210 won't be out until the refresh sometime in 2015. That's what I'm waiting for. Of course, I already have a GTX 780 Ti, so it shouldn't be a hardship to wait.
