So, I bought a second hand gaming pc this morning, and I have had a blue screen of death already. I think it's the amd catalyst (pretty sure it is) because when I was installing it I suddenly had a blue screen of death and the second and third time I tried to install it everything suddenly became black and my monitor didn't see the pc anymore (no signal). But after the blue screen of death or the blank screen i can just reboot my pc and boot up normally and everything is fine.
these are the specs:
FX 8350
8 GB RAM
2x HD 7950
Windows 7 64-bit
Now, when i run MW3 it has 40 fps maxed out so i think the drivers are already installed but i can't find them ANYWHERE on my computer. The reason why i need catalyst is because I want crossfire to be enabled, i dont think it is because two 7950 are supposed to run bf4 on ultra 70-100 fps.
I think it only uses one. So, I can't find catalyst anywhere, it only uses one gpu because it doesn't has crossfire enabled, and i cant enable it because i cant find cant find catalyst and when i try to install it i either get a blank screen until i reboot, or the blue screen of death. Can somebody please help me with this? Thank you so much.

Solution
I think you cannot put the thread in SOLVED state if you don't pick a solution (but I also recently registered on this forum, so I may be wrong).

Anyway, the PSU seems to be OK. Are the 2 cards identical (the same amount of memory)? Please try to use only first of the cards (take out the second one) and see if after uninstalling/ reinstalling all of the AMD software you gain acces to GPU settings; if so, you can add the second one and see if the problem is solved. If still have problems, you should consider a fresh OS install.

Yeah right i forgot to say
it's a 850 watt corsair supply so thats pretty good i think. But i just (after a lot of work) managed to install AMD Vision Engine control center(thats the same as catalyst right?) but now it doesnt show my gpu settings. Only my cpu settings because thats amd too. So i still cant turn crossfirex on. Can you help me out?

Thanks man! I demounted both GPU's and uninstalled all the amd drivers and mounted the GPU's and re installed the drivers and now it seems to work fine. You've been a big help!
