Hi,
this is my pc rig:
ASRock N68-S3-UCC
AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.00 Ghz
Asus Gtx 660 2GB GDDR5 OC
4 Gb RAM
Win7 64...
now most of games work good and I have good framerate, but when I run games like battlefield 3 or 4, and ArmA 3 my FPS if very bad. I know my cpu isn't the best but I've seen others with same cpu getting much better fps...what could be problem with my pc?

Solution
*CPU is not that bad...dont be such a dick swifty :/

@the Op, it could be system memory (probably could use more than 4GB regardless)...or a driver issue. I'd try re/installing latest nVidia drivers and see how you fare.

You can also monitor system resources while youre gaming and see whats out of whack...CPUID, EVGA Precision X are good tools to check things out. Good luck friend, let us know if you find anything

ty for answer, I have newest driver but I'll try monitoring and let you know the results :)

My guess would be that the problem is that you only have 4GB of memory. I am honestly surprised that those games even run on a system with only 4GB. See if you can get 4 more GB of the exact same kind of ram you have. If not, you can get a nice 8GB set of GSkill 1600Mhz ram for around $70 on newegg.

Arma was dropping the FPS on me too and everything I have is top notch, the problem was the ram. I upgraded to 16gb and now everything runs like a champ on top settings.

Arma ran good for me when I adjusted my own settings ignoring clouds and such, but the recommended nvidia settings ran slow until I upgraded the RAM. Try making your own adjustments instead of using the preset nvidia settings they don't get it right.

I can almost guarantee that it is your cpu that is completely hindering you. My friend had a core 2 quad extreme and he was getting low fps in bf3 and bf4 wiht a gtx 280. As soon as he upgraded he saw a big fps boost. Since you have a good gpu, I think that it is time to sell the processor, memory, and mobo and get some new hardware to support the new gpu ;) These games are very cpu intensive. BF4 uses around 70 percent of my core i7-3770
