GT 430 on 250 Watt Power supply will it work?

hi guys i want to buy a gt 430 (i can buy an ati 6450 but not for games ) so i have a low tdp processor max TDP 65w a geforce 210 (again low end gpu) 2 sticks of 800mhz ddr2 ram and a dvd/cd rom that's all

What psu do you have? I don't think I've ever actually seen a real 250w. (500w bad ones that work like 250w I'm not counting

it came with my barabone asus pc it just says 250 in the site is rated 300 but on the sticker it says 250 and peak 300

Any link to it? I've actually never seen an asus barebones pc either lol.

The 430 doesn't use much power, I'm wondering if it'd work, even if the PSU was only really 150w.

Can you look at the PSU and look for a model or at least some information about the +12v rail?

Well, that's if the OP has the $ for a new PSU; I'd certainly recommend it if possible.

The 430 looks like it only uses around 50w

A GeForce GT 430 needs 22 amps on the 12v rail and a 350 watt power supply , get the one I linked above , a killer deal.

But we also don't know if OP is from the US or not. That EVGA could easily be unavailable for him. Considering that they are buying a very old GPU, I'm wondering that myself.

Guess we just wait for an answer

i don't have the budget ...i recently bought a tv and the gt 430 is only 20 bucks (euros) the cheapest quality psu starts from 70euros

So where are you getting the gt 430 from?

If you have the graphics card in your house, just try it. That's just me though.

Your CPU is around 50w, that gpu is around 50w. Worth a try.

It's the safest option (without knowing the rails), but I think you still had good chances to make it work.
