First i had windows 7 installed and i thought it might be something with the system, then i installed windows 8.1 and i have the same problem. When i try to install drivers for GPU both from CD provided (13.25 drivers) or newest (14.4 , 14.6 beta), my pc screen goes black and the same thing happens when i reboot, after windows logo. After that, the only thing i can do is to go into safe mode and uninstal all GPU drivers with DDU, then everything works fine. In windows 7 i was able to boot by shutting pc down, unplug power, wait for some time, and then replug, or changing mode in bios to performance or quet, and then i am able to boot, but if i try to restart, i get the black screen. When i was able to boot, everything worked perfectly, i was able to do things in catalyst media center and play games and i got high performance.
GPU: Asus amd radeon r7 260x OC GDR5
mobo: Asus h81m-k (bios 0805)
psu: Chieftec GPS-500A8 500W smart series
CPU: intel i5 4440
RAM: Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 HyperX Blu
HDD: WD caviar black 500GB 7200rpm/16mb
I was googling and trying to fix this problem for last 5 days and nothing helped.
Any help would be apriciated.
