I think I have my Rig all figured out, now the question is where should I buy the parts from... What is the best decision, what are the best strategies?

Another question, do I need the extra warranties, or do these companies provide efficient warranties for their products

At stock clocks the 8350 has high temps and with the turbo-core, even higher. The cheap stock cooler wont do any good. The 212 is not a "overclocker" cpu cooler (can endure mild OCs) but one that provides the best performance for its price.

bought all my parts from amazon and was completely satisfied. if you have prime it is a no brainier because of the savings on shipping and the speed of it. most of their parts are competitively priced. plus it is nice to have the part list right there in your order history at one place, made it easy for me when I bought more ram from newegg the other day.

I have a Micro Center in my local area, is it perhaps a good idea to go get as much stuff as possible from their stores?

Is it a bad idea to just click all the "cheapest" links that PC Parts Picker provides and buy from all of them?

Hmm how should I put this..... if you buy the cheapest parts for everything you'll end up with a terrible psu, small case with no cable management, and a motherboard that would have a hard time supporting your 8350.

If there is a good quality part at a low price then go for it. Otherwise avoid buying an item just because it is cheap.

Here's an improved version of your build:

Actually it's now no longer the "king" at budget CPU coolers. There are better coolers out there for the same price.

Right now the 212 Plus is the best budget cooler since it's performance is identical to the EVO and it comes with a $10 rebate.

Otherwise there are coolers that are the same price as it like the Enermax ETS-T40 TB and occasionally a few Zalman coolers.

But I mean, when PC parts picker shows you the cheapest price, it is for that particular part. I am just wondering if it is a bad startegy to buy form 3-5 different place so can save 50-100 bucks

Not at all, there's absolutely no problem buying from different sites, it's just that you will need to track your order on each site rather than seeing the whole list from one site. I say for 50-100 bucks it's worth it.

you will eat a lot of cost shipping from various places unless they have a free shipping in which case you'll be waiting a long while. are you really saving easy enough to research but based on my experience Amazon's prices were competitive and I got exactly what I wanted. Just depends on how the chips are stacked.
