Is it possible to set up wifi router with internet connection without a modem?

Apartment building running wifi signal down hallway. Want to put a router in between if possible.

You need a router which can be put into Bridge mode - internet comes ove WiFi, and gets out to your laptop/phone/TV over either WiFi or cable. I would rather run a cable between that router, and the main router in the building.

The best security is the behind-the-keyboard device.

Hello, jbed. You can also look into an affordable wireless access point that has bridge mode to make this connection. You can check the Cisco WAP121 for example. Let me know if you have additional concerns or need more local support. Kind regards.
