Will overclocking RAM past 1866MHz stress the memory controller of the FX 8350?

I plan on getting 16GB of 1866MHz RAM (I heard G.Skill Sniper is the best?). I could buy the ones that are rated for 2400MHz and overclock them since the memory controller of the FX 8350 says it supports up to 1866MHz. My motherboard (ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z) says it supports up to 2400MHz overclocked. Is it worth overclocking or should I just buy the ones rated at 1866MHz?

Well the CPU supports up to 1866 (1 stick per channel w/ 4 GB sticks is how they tested) and many run 1866/16GB, but you don't see a lot at 2133 w/ 16GB and even far fewer at 2400 (and those few are generally at 8GB)...think I'd stick with 1866 unless you find sticks about the same price at 2133/9 or so, then give them a try, can always drop back to 1866 if need be
