Hi this has been happening for around 2 years. I originally had the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 TI and most of my games were constantly crashing at random moments, I do have games that have never crashed but they are games that are not fancy looking or use a lot of power.

Most of the crashes are game.exe has stopped working/responding. I also sometimes get driver display has stopped working and recovered

So I decided to upgrade to the GeForce GTX 750 TI and the same thing is happening, I have tried pretty much everything.

I am starting to think the crashing is due to the game's optimization for the PC, For example Call of Duty Ghosts was crashing on people's PC that has a TITAN graphics card.

Everything on my PC is up to date. (It should be anyway) I have adjusted my NVIDIA Control panel several times. I had windows 8 and downgraded to windows 7. I have tried a lot more than I cannot remember.

Any Help would be much appreciated because I have still had no permanent fix for 2 years.

My PC Specs: (Copied and pastied some of this from DXDIAG)

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1
Gigabyte Technology
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
8192MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Display Memory: 4022 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1974 MB
Shared Memory: 2048 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I want you to do what I will say right now and report back to me with details.

Right after a game crashes, open windows event viewer and look at to the latest critical and errors. probably the latest one will be our problem since there are not really much errors and criticals in a usual pc. i want you to tell me what that error says exactly, with the error number and code. then i will search for solutions.

Good to hear that your problem *possibly* have been solved. If anything occurs please let me know.

Also, if problem does not happen again we better choose the harddrive update as answer for people to see.

Thanks.

Just played around 1 hour of Splinter Cell BlackList and no crashes. I will go on different games tomorrow and test around and hope I am crash free. But in future I think if a game does crash sometimes it may be the actual game it's self instead of my PC because for example Call of Duty Ghosts, That game was poorly optimized for PC and people that had a PC with a TITAN graphics card (The best graphics card in PC Gaming) Was crashing.

Talked too soon :( I just played BlackLight (The only game that has crashed so far) I have played 1 other game with no problem. I was playing and it froze, I had to CTRL ALT DEL out and it said "The Game.exe has stopped working/responding" So I am guessing now it can't be Graphics card, Windows, Harddrive, What's left?

This is the event viewer crash report:

Maybe the app itself, I dont really know. Because both event logs were about Blacklight Retribution and you said other game did not crash.

Copy your save files to somewhere in your PC and try to re-install your game. Then copy your save files back to the respective ffile inside the game documents. Lets see if it makes anything.

It was Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. I wanted you to download because you can put your RAM under a stress test via that app. However, please do not tweak with any settings. If RAM is also stable under that test I do not know what else remains for us but formatting PC.
