Cooler master vortex plus

I have an i7 4790k and the temps are hitting 80degrees under a 75% load (This is the stock intel cooler). So I was thinking about upgrading the heatsink to the coolermaster vortex plus. Will this bring down the temps and can you please give me a rough estimate of how many degrees it will be better than the stock cooler. Also is there any better option around the $20 - $40 price range?

80C is high. It should be running at 71C under load.

The Cooler Master Vortex Plus is not that great. It is not going to be that much cooler.
If you want an excellent cooler that will bring your temps down get a Noctua.
They make a great product and your CPU will run cool with one.

That cooler will not work very well for your CPU.
