Recently I made purchase of a new Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131837
and a new Power supply- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182132.
After installation I quickly realized that my computer wouldn't post. I back peddled and started removing hardware as I know this could be a common problem with new hardware and compatibility. low and behold after removing my Graphics Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121775) The system booted just fine.
Could this be a problem with a faulty power supply? Or could this be any number of things.

Specs include : I-7 Sandy Bridge 2600k Quad Core
1 Corsair Vengeance 8gb Memory

Solution

That GPU could have died, and it probably did, given your symptoms. I would return it if it is in warranty and get a new one.

I saw this when looking over BIOS versions for this motherboard.
I don't know if this does anything for you, but you could try updating to the newest version if you haven't.
But in this version they added compatibility to some PCIE device...

Well, you can remove your card, boot off of iGPU, set it as default, shutdown, put the 760 in, boot plugged into the mobo, and install drivers. Then, go into BIOS and set the new card to default again and tell me how that goes.

I tried that but as soon as I put the 760 in, The computer led lights light for a bout a second, then didn't kick over.

That is weird. Your new mobo seems like it is faulty in that slot. Try it in another slot. Try another GPU in those, too.

Tried my Geforce gtx 550 ti in that same slot. Loaded up fine and is working.
The only thing that really makes sense at this point would be the power supply, correct?

Honestly, barely any of this makes sense. Is that a new GPU?
