CPU or PSU causing RAM errors?

Hello, I was wondering if my CPU or PSU could be causing my RAM errors. The only reason I ask is because I've used three different sets of RAM (apart) and replaced my MOBO once and my problem has persisted with RAM errors.

My problem is that my computer will freeze. Audio, visually, and USB ports. It is not Windows or drivers, as I've reinstalled them plenty of times. I also know that this build should work, as I have two friends who have the same exact build except we each have different RAM and different PSUs. We've installed everything driver and OS related the same. It has done this with two different GPUs, so it's not the GPU (same thing with the case, as I've seen people say the wires could be shorting).

This freeze is completely random. It's not overheating. It sometimes happens 10 seconds after I enter Windows or it sometimes wont freeze for hours on end. This extends over everything. It'll do it while gaming, browsing the internet, watching videos or sometimes, just sitting on the desktop, with nothing in the background.

As I said before, I've replaced my RAM three times and my MOBO once. The second set of RAM was replacements from CORSAIR for free (which is 2x4GB). I felt like they gave me the same exact sticks back but in a new package. So I went to Best Buy and bought one 4 GB stick from a different brand and my problem still persists.

I tested the first two sets of RAM and they both had errors. There's no point in testing this RAM because even if it did have errors, I would be very unsure that it would be the RAMs fault even though it's showing errors.

Sometimes instead of freezing until reboot, I'll also get BSOD messages pointing to RAM. Some of the codes are:

  • 0x0D1
    0x0FC
    0x00A
and another I cannot recall, but when Google'd it did come up with a RAM problem.

Any solutions would be really grateful. Please don't tell me to do something I've already mentioned doing here. As that may seem a little hateful or rude to say that, I've went through a lot of things trying to fix this problem. This problem has lasted 6 months almost now. And it brings me a lot of stress. I've also spent around $300 parts in replacement parts trying to fix this. I also have no way of testing i.e. using a different CPU or PSU without buying them. Which I might have to do this coming paycheck. Which is completely dreadful.

Please, please, any help other than what I've already mentioned would be the best thing in the world to me.

1. Is your ram on the QVL support list for your motherboard, or on the approved list list from the ram vendor for your motherboard.
2. Are you using memtest86+ to test your ram. That is the gold standard.
3. Is your ram installed in the proper two slots according to your motherboard manual. Sometimes
the proper slots are not what you would expect.
4. Is there possibly a bios update for your motherboard that might address a ram issue?

Since you have changed out many parts, you are left with cpu or psu.
I doubt that it is the psu unless it is a cheap brand.

A cpu failure is also unlikely but I suppose it does happen. What cpu do you have? Is it possible that a mounting pin is bent or off center?

I've used memtest86+ for all the tests. My CPU is the FX-6300. My PSU is CORSAIR CX 600w. The CORSAIR RAM I was using is the CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 CORSAIR Vengeance 2x4GB RAM. My MOBO is the ASROCK 970 PRO3 R2.0. I don't see why I'd need to update my BIOS if my friends didn't need to? If I'm correct, isn't updating the BIOS flashing it? If so, I tried to on the last MOBO and I was doing it via usb when in Windows and it froze in the middle. Therefore I had to turn it off then on. Which broke my MOBO because it was stopped half way into the flashing.

I checked. While there are later bios levels for your motherboard(1.5), the last one to address memory compatibility was 1.30 8/7/2013 If you are at that level, you are ok on the bios.
DO NOT flash if you don' need to.

At his point, I might suspect the cpu.
Look very carefully to see that your cpu pins were not bent during install.

Has this problem happened since day one, or is it recent?
If recent, what has changed?

It says the uefi version is P1.50 I don't see any other "version" of anything else.

Its been so long but I think i think its happened since day one
