My Verizon Internet has been terrible for the past 4 months or so. First, it would continually shut off at random times, then my speeds went from 30/20 to 20/15.

My ping will sometimes jump incredibly high in games and I end up just having to wait it out or reset the router.

Around the time I got my laptop (2.5 weeks ago) not a single device has been able to connect, or at least have a decent speed, in any room other than the one in which the router is located. Even on the desktop that is connected to the router I only recieve 4/5 bars of Internet.

I don't believe the laptop is actually related, though, since the Internet is still poor even when the laptop has been shut off completely.

Note: The router has not changed locations in the past year, and there was a time where the router was working fine.

Edit:
Today when I was adjusting the antenna it just completely fell off. I reattached it to the router, and the signal is much better. Just a simple fix!

Try direct connection from your computer to the modem and see if the problem still persist.

Replace with another router if you can and see if that fix the issue.

look for a program that will check that you are not using the same wifi channel as many other ppl in the same area. many routers all using the same wifi channel can decrease your router wifi performance and is an easy fix in the router settings. This one does it for android phones and will be fine for you if you have a an android phone that you can connect to your wifi. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en_GB
