Recently purchased a Samsung 32 inch for my desk and am very happy with it. After days of calibrating myself, the picture is flawless. Only thing is i'm not really sure what screen size to use. Screen fit seems better pleasing to look at than 16:9.

Is it just me or does screen fit seem to make things smaller? Does 16:9 have a 5-10% zoom in on everything in the picture? For example, if I was in a game, would I be able to see someone better from afar than I would in screen fit, or is it the same?

By default (for some reason), the control panels I've seen from both NVidia and AMD come with a default overscan/underscan, either zooming the image or putting black bands on every side of the screen. You should try checking those.

Just for reference, although it's in a different language I translated to english on the fly (so it might not be the same thing), for Catalyst Control Center you can find it under "Digital flat panel settings" -> "Scaling options".

That zoom you are experiencing is called "Overscan" I had this issue before and was able to fix it by changing a setting on my Nvidia control panel. I assume AMD Catalyst has the same.
