ssd and drivers

so i am thinking about buying an ssd, i will be using it as a boot drive and to load my games and stuff like that. i have my windows 8.1 disc to install windows. but my question is after i install windows onto the ssd, do i need to install drivers onto to? if so what type of drivers? i already have a 1tb hdd for storage in my pc.... plz help!

Im guessing you mean other drivers.

Yes, you need to install some of them, otherwise some features will not work.

So, to start:

You will need to know the model of your motherboard, so you can get the drivers for it from the manufacturers website.

You should also find out the model of your Graphics card, so that you can get the correct GPU drivers.

Once you know the part numbers, and have installed windows, go ahead and download and install the drivers from the manufacturers.

You dont need to install drivers for an SSD. If you set it up as the boot drive, and install windows, you should be OK.

You may want to update the firmware though, which you should be able to get that from the SSD manufacturers website along with instructions.
