hi, I have a wt10 tablet which has a stuffed WiFi adapter. (it doesn't show up at all) to remedy this I'm using a small micro to full USB adapter and USB WiFi adaptor attached to that.

This is where the problem happens. as soon as I plug it in the sleep option buggers off. Can't push the physical sleep button, no option on the power cog shutdown menu thing. The sleep just gets disabled.

Ive tried two different USB WiFi adapters and they both have this problem.

There is no power setting in the device manager property menu for either device.

Anyone have any ideas to have it sleep while the dongle is still attached?

A real pain having to remove and insert when I use the tablet.

Cheers

The problem is that it won't sleep. I'll probably lose the dongle if I have to unplug it every time I want to to put the tablet to sleep. And it I set the tablet down and forget about it doesn't auto sleep as sleep is disabled and stays on draining the battery.

32 bit? Why?

Maybe you need to 'upgrade' to Windows 7.

Ha Ha - For Windows 8.1 you should do the same as me apparently - http://www.troubleshootwindows.com/windows-8/fix-sleep-mode-not-working-after-upgrading-to-windows-8-1/

but after a bit of f**ing around.
