gigabyte GTX770 OC 2gb
i5 2300 2.8ghz
6gb ram

is this better than ps4/xbox one?

In short, hell yes. The consoles are still struggling to do 1080p at 60FPS at the moment. This would crush that easily.

In some ways, yes. You have to understand that consoles don't have to deal with a lot of the overhead associated with a PC, so basicly they can do much more with much less. But your hardware is definitely spec'd higher if that's what you wanted to know :)

The better question is: As a gamer, what games are you looking to play? This will tell you more on what direction to go.

Steam has big picture mode, and lots of PC games support the Xbox 360 controller. And you can build your own Steam Machine with the Steam OS on that PC. Its something worth contemplating.

your specs is 5x better than a cosnsole dude believe me, pros- it can be upgraded, easy to repair, more future proof unlike console, it tends to overheat sometimes due to insufficient cooling system, always go for the pc and dont look back :)

I will say this, it takes a really powerful PC to adequately emulate even the Game Cube.

Try the dolphin emulator.
