Flash drive got washed with shirt XD

So the other day, I came back from my friend's house, and forgot to take out the flash drive which was in my pocket. The shirt got washed and stuff and the flash drive was soaking wet. It eventually dried up, but it still feels cold to touch as if water is inside. Is it safe to test it? Should I open it up or something? I'm considering to get a new one anyway. It's not worth the risk.

Either way you won't damage a PC by plugging it in t c if it works... So long as it really is dry...

Stick it in a bag of rice, the asians will fix it.
But seriously, put it in a bag of rice for a week, it draws out the moisture.

Update: if it was cold wash, it should be ok, i've done the same thing. Warm wash i'm not too sure.

Been there, done that. Should work fine, but stick it in a bag of rice or something similarly water-absorbing (silica gel packets, if you have some lying around).

It'll almost certainly be fine.

If you can get the plastic case apart (they will come apart), then into the rice. It wont take more than a couple of days.
