mouse and keyboard showing but no storage device showing in USB port

When I plug in the mouse & keyboard in the USB ports it works. But when I plug in my pen drive or any other storage devices in the USB ports, it does not recognize the device.

are you using usb 3/2? which os are you using? is it up to date? are your drivers up to date?
