Hi,

I have a mobile station with PC, printer and UPS. I need to print from another computer to that specific printer, but cannot do it. I get a error message "printer busy or error".

The printer is connected to the mobile PC via crossover cable.
Both computers use WLAN and are in the same IP range(same network).
Printer is configures with IP address 192.168.14.56(default gateway 192.168.14.1). LAN in mobile PC for printer is configured 192.168.14.1.

What am I missing?

Regards,

EDIT:More information:
The printer is configured TCP/IP way on mobile PC. I am trying to print from a program that is on another computer. The printer is configured LPR way on that computer with ip as the mobile PC and print queue as printer name.
The program send the file to the print queue, but mobile PC print(er) queue doesn't receive it.

Bit of a long way around.
Why have you not just connected the physical Printer to the router.
Either by a normal Lan cable or through the setup menu of the printer its self if it can wireless connect to a wirless router ?

The way your doing it would require you to enable NAT on the serving machine or laptop. to bridge the network request to print from wireless to the Ethernet adapter of the laptop.

Look up NAT when using a host machine as a print server, you have to bridge the two IP addresses and Sub net addresses Via NAT.

By mobile station I mean forklift and that printer is label printer.
The program itself runs on a server(where from I am trying to print actually).

I already have a working printing on another forklift, the setup is the same - program sends label file to server print queue which forwards it to forklift queue and it prints out the label.

I cannot figure out what am I missing. I've tried both TCP/IP way and LPR way. LPR works on the other forklift.

Both forklifts have different IP's everything else is pretty much the same.
