Dram LED light comes on green but only for a second when booted up what doe this mean?

HI i just built my first pc and every thing booted up just fine however i did see the green dram LED light come on asus m5a97 R 2.0 when booting but only for a second what does this mean?I've read many post about it blinking and being red but have yet to see a post explain what it mean if it only comes on for a second.Is there something wrong or is it just telling me that its checking to see if any things wrong.

Well in most cases Red is bad. Stop. halt error, warning.
Green is good to go. Carry on all is fine.

Unless you ignore the colors when at traffic lights.
Then your heading for a possible crash in your car :)
Makes sense.
