I have a corsair 650 watt psu bronze. Will I be able to run a sapphire tri-x r9 290

The Radeon R9-290 requires a psu with 31A on the +12v rail and a 550W psu minimum
what model is your PSU corsair what ? 650 watt bronze

Bronze actually doesn't mean anything unless the manufacturer is stated. If it's a good company like corsair, cooler master, or XFX, then you don't have to worry a bit. Happy Gaming :D  :D

i would worry if my psu from coolermaster or corsair had low grade capacitors and lasted six months then damaged my system

great psu with high grade japanese capacitors and 54 A on the +12v rail
nothing whatsoever to worry about there you will be perfectly fine with lots of headroom :)
