i recently built a computer with a 4790k, and when running benchmarks like cinibench and prime95. my cpu will jump to 90 degrees, and its at stock clock.
however i was recommended a non avx benchmark, so i did that and then i only got about 60 degrees, so im just a bit confused right now

More about : 4790k degrees load load h100i

cinibench and prime95 will put your cores at full load. These are more geared towards builders with aftermarket cooling systems that can handle that kind of load thrown at their processors. If you are only running at stock clocks, but also running stock cooling, I wouldn't expect it to handle anything beyond non avx benchmarks consistently.

It's fine. Depend on the non avx benches. It'll be more likely your normal temperatures at work.

Seems high to me considering you are at stock speed and using a H100i - what fan profile are you using and what thermal paste? has the h100i been used on a cpu previously? if so then did you replace the thermal paste?

Forgot the title saying he was using the h100i. In that case, there is something wrong. High 70's low 80's I wouldn't find too out of the ordinary, but 90's is pushing it.

More likely to be a bad fit of the h100i, or better thermal paste application.
