system automatically shutting down,during gaming

i recently assembled my system, for the first two weeks it worked fine,but now it automatically shuts down while gaming,i'm using fx 6300 with stock cooler which gets heated up even when i play darksouls 2 at minimum settings,so could heating up of cpu be the issue,and if not what could be?

I think it's the CPU because if your GPU would be overheating your system wouldn't shut down, the GPU would shut down. Download a CPU monitoring software, if the tempts are high then id recommend getting a new cooler like Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

everything,including the gpu shuts down, i can only see the motherboards green light i use sapphire toxic r9 270x
