I'm planning on buying a upgrade for my secondary PC (AMD FX 4100, 8GB 1333MHz RAM, 500watt PSU) which currently has a really crappy XFX HD Radeon 6670 2GB.

I've got 2 GPUs in mind.
Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX660 2GB

All I really want is the most powerful GPU money can buy for a maximum of £120. What I will be doing is mainly gaming, video editing and rendering and I just want something that will be able to play Watch Dogs, Battlefield 3/4, Titanfall, Skyrim and other major titles with decent FPS.

I really hope to hear from you guys soon and I hope to hear some other ideas and some good feedback. :)

Why not spend a few extra dollars and get somehting thats going to last a long time?

MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming edition Twin Frozor 4G - this is what I have in my build and the thing is a machine. it seriously puts in a ton of work. I have a dual monitor set up and my HDTV hooked up at all times too for some gaming and whatnot, and I get around 90 - 120 FPS of BF4 on Ultra everything and FC3 same deal. I love this thing. A little pricey but itll last a long time before needing an upgrade.

Either way i suggest getting something with a little more tha 2g of ram because sooner than later those will be not that nice.

In the options you have listed,GTX 660 wins hands down. That card has ample power to run high-ultra most games at 1080p.GTX 750ti is not a bad card,it's newer, based on Maxwell architecture, hence it's more energy efficient. It performs well but won't hold a candle to GTX 660.

I would have suggested GTX 760/R9 270X if you can just budge your budget a bit.

If your "500W" PSU is a quality one, actually capable of producing what is on its label, then you can get the GTX660, which is the stronger card.
Even if it is not, perhaps capable of half of its label, your PSU should be able to run the GTX750Ti.
Chances are, your existing card has DDR3 on it; GDDR5 versions are notably better.

Keep in mind that your CPU will also be a limiting factor in many games.

You have not stated a budget, the GTX 660 is a power hog and the GTX 750 ti really cannot push the games you named, you would only be able to run those games on medium to high settings, if you plan on keeping the 500w P/S why not go with AMD Sapphire R9 270 It is on New Egg for about $170 USD and you can run almost all of the eye candy in those games you mentioned!

The GTX660 is the stronger card. The Gigabyte card has a quieter cooler. Gaming performance will be similar, given that differences in factory clocks can most likely be offset by manual adjustment.
Make sure your PSU is good enough for it (what is the brand and model?).

But within that list, there are 3 different R9 270x and I want to know which one is the most powerful, silent and coolest.

If I knew, I would tell you... I don't think it's anything special though.

If you're not sure about the quality of the PSU, I'd stick to the GTX750Ti. That card should manage "High" settings (no AA) on most games, and it's not worth blowing a cheap PSU (which might take other parts with it). Considering what you have now, the GTX750Ti is a substantial upgrade.

Unfortunately no. Reason behind this is because I have sent it away because it was randomly cutting out. This upgrade is for when I get it back. Oh, and I'm also saving up for a upgrade on the PSU to 750watt bronze certified PSU and the CPU to a 8350.

I should be getting it back in September because I've also asked them to do some enhancements such as overclocking the CPU, adding a H80i and everything like that.

So, you suggest the 750ti for the games and it should run them fairly decent. Right?
Oh, and if it was a better PSU, which one would you suggest?

I've looked around and these are the most powerful ones I can find for a maximum of £140.

Between the two, the GTX 660 is a better choice.

However, the Radeon R9 270X is faster and (at least in the US market) usually the same price or cheaper. I don't know if that's true in the UK market too, but just don't pay the same amount for the GTX 660 as you'd have to for the R9 270X, or even an R9 270. I don't think you want to go much lower than the R9 270X if you're gaming at 1080p.

A note on the GTX 750 Ti: Everyone talks about it and loves it, but its usually a terrible value. If your system absolutely has to have a 60 W video card, then its justifiable. But you're paying more for that level of efficiency.
The R9 260X matches its performance for less money, and the R9 265 is faster for the same money. As long as you aren't trying to build a tiny, dead silent HTPC, you can do better than the 750 Ti.
