Hi All,
I'm building a PC and was wondering if it was necessary to buy a wired network adapter for a computer which has a motherboard with an ethernet port built in. Is a wired network adapter simply an ethernet port, or is it something more? Thanks!

If you are next to a router or modem, or any ethernet port, don't get the wireless adapter. It will not help in anything. The port that is built into the motherboard will handle it. If you are away from an ethernet port, however, get a wireless adapter.
