You could get an R9 280, it can be OC'd to perform like a 280x and its $70 cheaper.

For gaming I would not use wireless. With wireless the speeds and the ping changes with many factors. How many devices are using your wireless while you are gaming, neighbors that set their wireless channel on the same as yours, and other interference. If at all possible use wired.
