my first question is will the z77 oc formula from asrock fit into my cm storm trooper case?
my second question is will the gtx 780 be enough for 1080p or should i wait for the 800 series

Thanx

Solution

That's good. The motherboard is fine. Good luck :)

CM Storm Trooper would fit that. That GPU would be fine for 1080p gaming, we would have to wait and see for the 800 series, but the 780 is great for that. You should get a Haswell maybe Devil's Canyon CPU like the 4690K or 4790K and a Z97 board. They perform much better in compiling and programming, but that is a solid build.

okay that sorts out the motherboard , cuz i have no idea what a CEB form factor is. i already have a i7 3770 cpu, a 900w modular psu from huntkey had this build for almost a year now. i have 4gb of ram il get 16gb of ram later .

ive heared that a gtx 780 can't run some titles at ultra/max spec

i understand the haswell series are better cpus than ivy bridge, well if i started over i would have went with haswell, but since this build is technically 7months old, my gtx 650 2gb oc aint cutting it

thanks

thanks i have no real budget, however i still don't think the gtx 780 ti is worth the extra cash

also is i7 3770 enough for maximum performance in gaming (don't want my cpu to bottle neck a gtx 780)?

3770 is a great CPU. Never bottlenecks anything.

and the motherboard so its okay ? ive seen the overview of the asrock z77 oc formula and it looks sweet, i like the colour scheme and it has nick shi's (probably spelling his name wrong) signiture on it. this build will be used for programming and gaming at ultra settings @1080p
