I am working on a m5a99x pro motherboard and was able to get the back bracket installed with ease, however, while attempting to do the front of the motherboard screws, (using the cross screw method) but once I get one screw in, I am unable to get enough pressure down in order to screw in the remaining 3 screws. What am I doing wrong?

Solution
1) Don't screw it all the way in at first. Just start the screw and give it 1-2 turns.

2) Make sure the centring pin is in the right spot. If it pops out it will be sitting too high on the cooler and prevent other screws from reaching.
