Hey, I'm new to this and would like a little help updating my Graphics Card. I have an ATI Radeon 5570.

Now I tried updating this from the Catalyst Control centre but it just opened up a blank webpage with EI.But Before.

I tried updating my driver through STEAM, which just gave me a blue screen and lowered my resolution. I tried the AMD auto detect and said that it encountered an error and couldnt sparse. Now, if I'd go here but I'm a little scared I'd get another BSOD and brick my computer. Thanks

Hi. Go with what you found, but DO NOT got with the beta driver. Just get the last WHQL driver. You won't brick your rig.

It didint work properly, i got an bsod and lowered my resolution. Theres a window saying no ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropiate for your ATI hardware. What do i do now? I already restarted my computer hoping it would fix the resulotion but it wont, I cant change it eithere.

take the gpu out, use the iGPU, and uninstall all of the AMD drivers.

Then
put the card back in, disable the iGPU, and reinstall the AMD drivers. Should work better now.

I used to have a 5570 and I never had this issue (during this year I was using one)

So after turning off my computer, I take out the graphics card, I then turn on the computer and use an iGPU(I dont know what that is/means) and uninstall the AMD drivers? Also dont know what means, or how to do it.

How do i disable the iGPU and where do i resinstall the AMD drivers?

I'm really sorry about this, I'm super illiterate when it comes to this

Go into the Device Manager and check under Display adapters. If you are running a dedicated card, that is al that should be listed. If there is something else listed ( onboard Chipset or Integrated garphics package ) that should be disabled. Usually, once you plug in a card, that should automatically disable any onboard / integrated graphics and then it is just a matter of installing the drivers for that card. I never use the disk that comes with the card, but go to the Manufacturer's site and get the latest version.

you disable the iGPU in the settings under integrated graphics or something like that in the BIOS.

iGPU = integrated GPU = the graphics chip integrated into your CPU. It's good enough for decent usage.

Reinstall drivers from AMD's website

ok. Heres the step-by-step in which Im about to do.

Turn off PC>take out the Graphics Card>at this point which i boot my PC i go into BIOS and see if my iGPU is on> I uninstall all the AMD drivers>I then go to http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Window... and install that update>turn off PC>put the card in>see BIOS if iGPU is off>I go to device manager to see if the card is there/install in and thats it

Where do I go to uninstall the AMD drivers? from device manager? do I do that before/after taking out the card.

At this point i'm watching videos on how to remove the card.

Let me know if I got this shit right. Again sorry if this annoying >.>

all right except last step - don't go to device manager. Go to AMD's website and install the drivers from there.

HI Take out the card and then you should be on the integrated / onboard graphics. Go to Control Panel then Programs & Features and look for all of the AMD stuff and remove it. Once that is done, use something like CCleaner to clean up anything that may be left. Once that is done, then you can plug the card in and make sure the cable from the monitor is plugged into it. The go to the manufacturer's site and get the drivers for that card ( WHQL and NOT beta ).

Put the card in BEFORE you install the drivers and stuff.

Okay, so at this point I have my computer plugged in. I couldn't get the card out. There was a little clamp holding it down and it STILL wouldn't slide off. No cable other then the display thing was attached and i still couldnt get it out. Could I try uninstalling it from device control panel and reinstall that from AMD's website?

if you're referring to the clamp on the PCIE slot, then just pull the little tab up a bit and it should pop right out as you pull the GPU out.
