i have a internet connection with a static ip (172.16.44.177) default gateway (172.16.44.129).. till now i wasn't using any router so i could view the other networks of our neighbors(same default gateway).. & we used to play lan multiplayer games... bt after i setup a router i cannot ping those ip.... any solution!!

If I understand what you have done correctly then you have given your router your static IP and told it the default gateway. our router now gives you private IP addresses via DHCP and your default gateway is set to your router? If so this should work as before unless you have a firewall issue. In which case you could turn off the routers firewall but that opens you up to attacks from within your complex. which I imagine is a block of flats or apartments?
