Hi everyone,

PC specs:
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth 990FX
CPU: AMD 6200 Zambezi 3.8GHz
RAM: 4 Kingston HyperX 4gb 1333
GPU: 2 Geforce 570gtx 2.5gb
PSU: Thermaltake SmartM 850w

Heads up: All 4 sticks of ram are the same, although 2 sticks I bought a month ago, and the other 2 have been with me since system build: 2 years ago.

Ok, so I was listening to music and playing some Minecraft when all of the sudden Java crashed, resulting in Minecraft closing. Seconds later Chrome stopped loading pages, and then Windows Blue Screened and it said something about dumping memory.

So, googling and reading topics on here, I tested each ram stick in slot 2, out of 4, on the mobo and only 2 sticks work. The thing that worries me is that there is 1 old stick and 1 new stick working, and vice versa for the not working ones, so I doubt I can simply RMA then, especially since one set was made in Taiwan, and the other in China (listed on the RAM itself). I'm trying to figure out what may have fried those two sticks of RAM since it couldn't be faulty RAM alone.

While I wait for a reply, I will test out the other slots on my mobo with the working ram.

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!

Check to make sure as well the motherboard didn't throw its auto voltage to something weird. I have people in the past ask me to replace their ram because they thought it went bad, however the auto voltage function on the mobo actually had those slots at something weird so I had to manually set the correct voltage to the sticks.
