So I'm purchasing a pc soon and I was wondering if I should choose a i7 4770k w/ a 760 or a i5 4670k w/ GTX 770, I intend to do YouTube video commentaries and gameplay recording with this pc, I was just wondering with path I should go, I might even go with the i5 4670k and gtx 760 and upgrade to one of the new 800 series cards and also get a i7 4770k around the same time. I was just wondering which you would think would be the best route

if you spend like 10 extra bucks you can get the 4790k which is 4 ghz instead of 3.5 :)

Just because your going to be doing some editing and not just gaming, get an I7-4790K and a Z97 chipset motherboard. The hyper-threading is going to help a lot in the editing department. Now if this was mostly gaming rig and you were just dabbling in editing, get the I5-4690K and Z97 mobo.

Yeah get it now. The successor to Haswell, Broadwell, will not be that much of an improvement over Haswell (like Haswell was to Ivy Bridge). However, the successor to Broadwell, Sky Lake, will be and your Haswell should tide you over until then. Good luck!
