Hello, I just built my first pc and turned it on, all the fans are spinning (case fans, cpu cooler and gpu) but there is no display on my monitor. I tested the HDMI cable im using with my old laptop and it works fine. Could you please give me some ideas of what I can try to finally boot my pc and get it up and running!

Thanks in advance!!!

first try plugging the cable into the mobo. then disable the iGPU and reboot. The gpu should now be enabled and should work. If it doesn't, try restarting it. If THAT doesn't work, check to see if you have a defective unit by putting it into another computer.

Also
Have you connected all the PCI-E power connectors?

then you have other problems :)

Try reseating your CPU and/or CPU cooler. or try reseating RAM, GPU, 24pin MOBO power connector, etcetc. Check that everything is seated correctly, and that you have thermal paste on the CPU as well.

if it isn't posting, there's no way it can show any video.

POSTing is when you hear a beep at the beginning of the boot. When the motherboard finishes the Power On Self Test (POST), it will beep to tell you that everything is in working order. If your computer doesn't POST, you have bigger problems than just the GPU.

it either has one built in or one came with the case. look around to see if you have one and plug it in. If you hear nothing, that's your problem and you should go back to step 1 of building a computer and restart from scratch. Check if you made any errors while putting it together.

I don't think it's supposed to beep twice. Check your mobo manual to see what they mean.

Most POST beeps I've heard are just one short beep.
