The Hard Drive I am planning on getting is:
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

If I buy one of these, I save 30 dollars, is it really gonna be THAT BIG OF A DIFFERENCE (for gaming and editing video)

WD Blue 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive WD10EZEX - Bare Drive

and

Toshiba 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive DT01ACA100 - Bare Drive

So I should go with the cheaper? I know lots of people say WD Black is better for gaming, but is it really that big of a difference?

The Seagate and WD Blue you linked are basically identical with customer feedback for reliability.

BTW, Seagate bought WD.

Never mind... check the date, it was an April Fools joke.

Lol, but since they basically seem the same (And Storage doesn't effect gamplay that much I understand?) I might as well go with the cheaper one

I'd go for Western Digital Green, less strain on your system and a good price. Black or red if you want one with a minuscule failure rate.
Threw a 2TB one into my sky+ HD box and it's perfect. I'd go for WD any day over Seagate, they seem more reliable.

I disagree.

What strain does a HDD put on a system?

I was talking about sky+ hd boxes which have the crappy low power supply (out of context I know) that can fail with a hungry hdd.
Aside from that they cheap, reliable and low on power consumption (handy if you have more than one video card).

And I agree with you that western digital can be somewhat more reliable than Seagate (though they produce fine hdd too).
