My computer is crashing when I run multiple programs. I starting testing CPU with BurnIn Test and it crashes. Well, the monitor goes blank, but everything else seems to be on and I cannot turn it off with power button. I went into bios and the cpu tem at idle is 80 c. Is this a cpu issue or should I replace heatsink? I have the factory heat sink that came with cpu on there now and I just order cool master 212 plus. i have a A10 6800K.

Solution
When you install the 212 make sure that it is properly attached with the correct amount of thermal paste. the symptoms you describe make me think of a heat sink that is not properly attached, and not making good contact with the CPU.

Thanks clarkjd. I've been putting a dollop on the cpu, and then mounting/securing sink. I actually switch to a a8-5600k and I have similiar issue. In bios cpu temp is 63c. I'm wondering if this is a mobo issue. I had reseated the original cpu to check for paste/seating issues.
