When are the ASUS Maximus VII higher end boards coming??

hey everyone!! had my eyes set on getting the Asus Maximus VI Extreme motherboard, this thing is a beast and I like the bells and whistles (actually saves me a bit of money for what im trying to do), anyways...

I just picked up the Intel i-4790K chip which is Z97, and I really want to wait for the next gen of the Extreme, does anyone have any idea when the Extreme VII will be out? I see the hero, gene and ranger made their way but the higher end does anyone know when Asus is expected to come out?

I am literally waiting my PC on something similar to this, I have ROG throughout my system so I planned on keeping it that way

Not soon enough, closest I hear was rumored this month about mid month, but nobody seems to giving a date, prob all under a Non-Disclosure thing

I feel you man, just sitting here waiting on the Vii Formula. supposed to come out first or second week of July. Tired of waiting, wish they could just send it to us now!!

The Extreme hasn't made an appearance yet and Asus hasn't announced it will be releasing the Extreme VII anytime soon.

In any case it didn't make an appearance at Computex in June. I also had my eye's set on the Extreme VI, since I own the Extreme I and that baby has been going strong over the last 5 years, this is the only reason I wanna go for an Asus mobo again.

I'm settling for the Formula VII, since the mobo is the only component I'm still missing for my new build, the armor is sick and cba to wait for Asus to announce when they might be releasing an Extreme VII, if ever. And if they do announce it, I wouldn't get my hopes up for it to be released still in 2014.

Unfortunately, there will be no Extreme motherboard for the Z97 chipset. The jump from Z87 to Z97 wasn't significant enough to warrant spending R&D resources on it.

Regarding the Formula VII motherboard, it is already shipping to all the major retailers. Expect them to be available sometime in mid July or a week later.
