Overclocking with this build?

Hi, I just got the parts for my first PC I will build, I got the FX 6300 CPU for 109$, the r9 270 for 163$, and the ASUS M5A78 760g PLUS AM3+ Micro ATX 240 pins for 49$. I'm wondering how much (if at all) I can overclock the CPU. I've already got the parts, I'm building tomorrow, and I can't change my motherboard, I've already gone a little past my budget, and I just have the stock cooler. Will I be able to OC?

Thanks

I'm assuming it's the OP's first time overclocking so I think the experience with this board will not be a good one if they attempt to overclock. If they do a small overclock, it's going to be a very small performance increase while at the same time risking the motherboard/cpu.

I would be happy with stock settings personally. Considering they are already over budget, I wouldn't risk voiding any warranty either.

With the stock CPU cooler you get with that processor, unless your case has a good bit of airflow, overclocking shouldn't be on your radar very much. the processor itself is extremely easy to bump up a bit. even with the stock cooler. just be sure you monitor those temps. as for the video card, depending on the cooling setup, you might bump it up a bit, but remember its all dependent on cooling and power supply stability. Oh.. and don't forget that OC'ing voids warranties.

and by bump up a bit, I'm talking no overvolting and maybe MAX 200mhz overclock

Micro ATX boards only have 4+1 phase power. You need 8+2 to supply the juice for that six core. The mosfets aren't even heatsinked. I have that board and would not count on getting much of an overclock with the 6300. If you run Prime95 the board will either throttle the cpu or burst into flames.
