I'm desiring between getting the two cards above. I have the budget for either of them, the ASUS 760 being $309.99 and the EVGA 780 being $509.99. If I get the ASUS I will also buy a headset and keyboard/mouse combo. (I already have a keyboard and mouse I'd just get a gaming pair) So which do you guys think I should get? I'll provide links below. Thanks!

Try settling in between, for a 770 maybe? Otherwise I'd go for the 780 because it is so much better than the 760 on so many levels. Regardless, that ROG card is one sweet, eyecandy. If...

So although the GTX 760 looks pretty bad ass and will run games pretty well at pretty much maximum settings the 780 will just perform so much better and the stock cooler really isn't that bad and even though it wont be as quiet as the ASUS cooler it will still be pretty quiet. The 4GB on the 760 is more of a gimmick really because even at high resolutions where the memory is needed the processing power of the card just won't be fast enough to keep up anyway and the memory bandwidth is also too low to make use of the extra memory effectively. In the end it's up to you. the 780 will kick ass in games and not run too hot or loud while the 760 will still give good performance and looks bad ass, it all depends how much you want those peripherals really.

If you don't mind the performance drop and are all for the looks then get that 760. My friend has it in a windowed case and that ROG LED on the card looks pretty amazing. Not to mention that LED tells you how much load the card is under (varies from Blue>Orange>Red). Also, be warned that the ROG card is quite noisy over fans speeds of 50% and has a distinct coil-whine to it.
