how can i make the case fan turn off when my computer sleeps?

it's always on. how can i make it turn off when the pc is sleeping? my case is cooler master elite 430 and my mobo is m5a97 le r2.0

They should auto off, mine do with the same board, and did with the same case. (Im using a different case, but im using the old case fan on the same board)

I have 2 connected to molex as intake, and one to the motherboard as exhuast.

does your motherboard come with software that lets you control the fans? for example i have an asus motherboard and it comes with ai suit 3 which lets me control tons of settings from the cpu voltage and multiplier to fans and power saving. look up your motherboard and see if it comes with software that lets you control some of these things.

When you say molex, do you mean a direct connection to your PSU, or do you have them connected to a fan controller? The exhaust fan connected to your mobo should turn off when your mobo sleeps or shuts down. The other two depend on how you have them set up.

The easiest fix, if you have the fan headers available, is to hook up your intake fans to your mobo and run them either from your UEFI BIOS or download and install AI Suite and control them through Fan Xpert. Or you could use third-party software like Speed Fan.
