CPU/MOBO Overheating Suddenly - Diagnosis?

So I booted up my computer from sleep mode and noticed it was running slowly. Windows were staggering across the screens, mouse wouldn't move along smoothly, etc. Then all of a sudden it shut down. So I rebooted it and it was unable to completely log in and load up entirely, I tried this once more and opened up HWMonitor instantly to see if it was possibly overheating. I got the readings below (notice the CPU and Mobo temperatures:

So I checked to ensure the fans throughout the case were still running and they all were. The indicator light on the Liquid Cooling component was on so it at least "thinks" it is working. I am still under warranty for this computer and can send it away for the part to be replaced but that would mean shipping an entire full PC tower to California from Pennsylvania and that can be costly.

So what I am wondering is if this could possibly be something that I could fix myself? I understand changing the thermal paste may be it but can thermal paste really go that bad overnight? I was not having any kinds of readings like this before. OR, if I need to replace the part how difficult is it to order a new one and install it myself?

If you have any other ideas of what it could be or advice for my questions let me know!

Well redoing the thermal paste may be a good idea... I was wondering if you noticed that your 12v rail was at 8v?

I'm trying to get in contact with the company in order to find out if redoing the paste will void the warranty or not first

And no...I didn't...it's been on stock settings since I got it, I've never tinkered with the BIOS or tried any OC'ing. I'm guessing it being at 8V means I'm not getting the full performance out of it?

It's an i7-3820 CPU I was under the belief it couldn't be OC'd, perhaps I was wrong.
