i have made a big mistake 
.
So my hard drive was reaching its capacity and i bought some new games during the steam summer sale. I transferred some older games from my hard drive on to an external drive because i have no room for a second hard drive in my case. I simply did this by copying the files from drive to drive and then deleting the old file.
But after i shut down my pc the games were greyed out in steam. So i transferred them back to my original hard drive, deleted the local content and installed them again. But when i played the games they ran at about 30-40 fps and there was a constant stuttering.
Also i transferred all my downloads and documents to the exernal hard drive and back and now my pc seems to be a lot slower on the internet.
If there is anybody who has any advice/help I would greatly appriciate it
