Hi Everyone,
I am using XP, and whilst trying to add a TCP port for printer connectivity I receive the following message -
I know that the port in question (192.168.170.227) is not in use, but it was previously. Several years ago I discovered a work around for this issue. My work around involves the following...
1). Click on the properties of an existing printer
2). Select the Ports tab (on the properties page)
3). Select the 'offending' port
4). Click on Delete Port
5). Click on Yes...
This process would normally result in the port being deleted. I would then simply select the original port associated with the existing printer, and click on Apply / OK, or alternatively click on Cancel, which would leave the existing printer with its normal port.
However on this occasion I am seeing the error message below -
If anybody knows how to get around this error can you please let me know?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Davo
