Hi everyone . I would like to build a gaming PC to ditch the console world. I plan to play some fast paced FPS games, MMO's, And Minecraft. I'd like to be able to run all of these things on ultra with no lag/artifacting. I have a 1tb HDD, and an optical drive, but would like an ssd in this build just to hold windows and whatever my main games at the time are. Thank you all , I look forward to your builds.

I'd do this build except change the SSD to a Samsung 840 Evo or a Crucial M550 (much better drives than the Kingston Hyper X for not much more money), add a 1TB Caviar Blue (120GB won't get you very far these days) and you're set.

This should suit your needs with possibility of future upgrades

EDIT: Sorry forgot you asked for under $1300 BEFORE rebates im redoing it slightly to make up for it incase you see this post before I make the changes

Here http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ changed the monitor to a slightly different one. Has a lower contrast ratio and has a 5ms response time but in my eyes between 1-5ms theres no difference

Really do like this build, Do you think it'd be worth it to step up the budget just a tad bit to get the r9 290 4gb windforce? Or will i not see much difference.

You wont see a huge difference immediately but in the long run when games start needing more memory you'll notice the difference alright. Games are barely starting to use up to 3gb of memory like watch dogs does and thats only a few games for now but in the future if you plan on keeping this same GPU for 3-5yrs then you should push for the 290 4gb if you plan on changing GPUs in a couple years when the next line comes out then just stick with the 770
