Hello,

I have recently purchased a Macbook Retina that does not have a cd drive within the hardware. Without this, I am not able to install programs such as video games without having cd drive install the said software. I do however have a 1TB External hard drive that is mostly empty. Is there a way to have my external hard drive act as a CD-drive to It may install games onto my computer?

Thank you very much for your time.

You don't really need a DVD for a Mac nowadays as most software install is done from the Internet. But, if you really need one, something like this is the best (and cheapest) solution: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Slim-Retail-External-Wr...

It is cheap and it is also by Samsung so you shouldn't have to worry about a possible failure.
