bad video card????

Solution
Is it overclocked? Were any components recently installed? Do you receive a notice upon reaching the desktop about the sudden restart? Best bet is to run safe mode for a while and see if it restarts. If it does, it's a hardware problem. Something is shorting. Could be the GPU, could be another card installed, or worse, the motherboard/PSU.

EDIT: Try stress testing the CPU and GPU using prime95 and OCCT. Don't run them at the same time. If the PC restarts during these tests, it could be the PSU giving out from the extra load. This happens when the PSU is of low quality or just dying.
